Rocky Horror at the Market Arcade

It's been far too long since the Amherst Theatre held weekly midnight screenings of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," but thanks to the fervent following and staying power of the cult classic, Buffalo is still occasionally treated to the full-blown "Rocky Horror" theatrical experience.
That's definitely the case this weekend for the Arts Council in Buffalo and Erie County's ragtag and energetic group at the Market Arcade Film and Arts Center. The "Rocky Horror" weekend, timed to bring a little funk to the festivities of Buffalo Homecoming weekend, kicked off Friday night with a decent crowd and a pretty boisterous cast assembled by the Arts Council. The toast, rice, playing cards and water were flying at a respectable rate of speed and the theater was full of screams and cheers (usually of an unprintable nature) from start to finish.
The show will repeat tonight at 10 and midnight, so bust out your fishnets and head on down. Tickets are $12.
