UPDATED: LuPone and Patinkin at Shea's

Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin performed at Shea's Performing Arts Center Saturday night.
There's an ongoing debate among musical theater lovers over a certain Broadway singer's voice. That singer, Patti LuPone, pretty much equally divides musical theater fans among those who appreciate her unique, note-bending and quirky approach to the classics, and those who think that she's hopelessly pitchy, in "American Idol" parlance. I count myself in the former category. But plenty of folks out there have a hard time warming up to LuPone's decidedly unconventional vocal stylings.
