Bills banged up

There were plenty of Bills out of action at practice today. Running back Anthony Thomas, who has a calf injury, was not in attendance during the 20 minutes that the media was allowed to watch the workout. That's a further indication Fred Jackson has a good chance to start against Washington. Marshawn Lynch was not practicing, but he was jogging on the side of the field. He wasn't doing any cutting, and it's not expected he will play this week. But it looks like there is real hope he may be ready for the Miami game next week. Defensive end Chris Kelsay was not in attendance, neither were safety Donte Whitner, safety Bryan Scott, linebacker Mario Haggan and receiver Roscoe Parrish. The Bills said Parrish is sick today. Kelsay has an ankle injury that's fairly significant. No word on Whitner, Scott and Haggan. In attendance but not working besides Lynch were tight end Robert Royal, defensive end Ryan Denney, linebacker Coy Wire and cornerback Jerametrius Butler. An update from Dick Jauron will come later this afternoon.
