I'll believe it when I see it
Ever since Philadelphia threw a scare into New England last Sunday, people have been saying that the Eagles provided the blueprint on how to beat the Patriots. Hogwash!
Just because the Eagles were successful in attacking the middle of the Patriots' defense with passes and pressuring Pats quarterback Tom Brady with blitzes doesn't mean other teams on New England's schedule will be able to do the same thing. And by the way, the Eagles still lost that game with their so-called blueprint.
No team, not matter how good, are going to play perfect football over 16 games. In his own warped mind, Pats coach Bill Belichick probably liked seeing his team having to struggle to win a close game because it gives him another opportunity to serve up some humble pie to his players. I believe last Sunday was the best thing to happen to the Pats. They didn't play their best and they still won. That's the mark of a great team. Here's hoping their quest for perfection continues.
