Kiwaukee Thomas injury key

The Bills today placed cornerback Kiwaukee Thomas on the injured reserve list due to the groin injury he suffered in Miami. This is a big one this week. Thomas has been a smart, solid player the past two years. He covers the slot receiver. The Bills must face arguably the best slot receiver in the league this week in New England's Wes Welker. Ashton Youboty probably moves into Thomas' role. We'll see if the Bills make a switch for this week, such as putting Terrence McGee inside. It probably won't happen, but it's a possibility.

Also, the Bills added tight ends Brad Cieslak and Tim Massaquoi to the roster, since Derek Schouman and Matt Murphy are out for the year. Offensive lineman Christian Gaddis was added to the 53-man roster, moving up from the practice squad.
