Waiting on police

Speculation is flying over the investigation of the murder of Redskins safety Sean Taylor. There was no significant news update Thursday from Miami police trying to get a break in the case. One of Taylor's close NFL friends, Cardinals cornerback Antrel Rolle, said he is convinced Taylor was targeted by an acquaintance who harbored some kind of grudge against him.

"This was not the first incident," Rolle told reporters in Arizona. "They've been targeting him for three years now. ... Sean, he had a large group of friends, and he no longer hung out with those friends, so you never know where this came from."

However, Taylor's attorney said that Taylor's girlfriend has told police that the burglars in his house made a lot of noise in the living room downstairs before coming upstairs to the bedroom area. That's a strong indication, the lawyer said, that the burglars did not expect Taylor would be home. That makes sense, since most people would have expected Taylor to be back in Washington at the time. Hopefully, someone comes forward to give police information.
