Corner was under radar
Cornerback Reggie Corner was rated 50th on the cornerback list by Mel Kiper. Why was he the fourth-round pick of the BIlls? He did not get invited to the scouting combine, so he was way undervalued by the draft gurus, the Bills say.
The Bills say he ran a 4.50 at the pro day for Akron this year and a 4.43 as a junior. (He had built up from 170 pounds to 180 by his senior pro day). His small size (5-foot-9 and his low weight) apparently kept him from getting the combine invitation. The Bills had him scouted in the fall and were happy that he didn't get a combine invite, because it kept him under the radar.
"Oh heck, yeah," said scout Tom Roth, when asked if he was happy Corner didn't get an invite.
