The Giants DE model

I think Ellis definitely fits the 4-3 model better than the 3-4 model. He never has gone backward in his career, only forward. He won't have to adjust at all. He was higher rated on the board than any of the other tight ends available -- such as Missouri's Martin Rucker and Michigan State's Kellen Davis. Also on the board at that point was Penn State linebacker Dan Connor. He went two picks later. Auburn DT Pat Sims was another option. But pass rushing defensive ends are harder to find than linebackers, and the Bills addressed DT in free agency. The BIlls will try to get after the QB more. They need to becuase the four-man rush wasn't good enough last year.
