Aug 26 practice

Quarterback Trent Edwards was back on the practice field Tuesday, one week after he bruised his right quad muscle. He looked OK physically, but some of his passes failed to hit their mark. One deep throw to receiver Lee Evans was badly overthrown, leading to an easy interception by safety Ko Simpson. Edwards also had a little scare when left guard Derrick Dockery stepped on his foot while pulling, sending Edwards to the turf. ...With offensive tackle Langston Walker spectating, rookie Demetrius Bell got first-team snaps on the left side. ... Cornerback Ashton Youboty continues to make a case for himself by making plays. He almost ran under a long pass to receiver Scott Mayle, but couldn't hold on to the interception. Youboty also broke up a slant pass to receiver Felton Huggins.
