Derek is not Fine

Bills coach Dick Jauron announced after Tuesday's practice that rookie tight end Derek Fine is out for a while with a very serious thumb injury. It's probably not fair to speculate, but one has to believe that the thumb may be broken. This is a setback for the Bills, who are already missing No. 2 tight end Derek Schouman with a knee injury. Both players might not be ready for the season opener, and that will impact the Bills' decision with regards to the 53-man roster. Courtney Anderson and Tim Massaquoi are the only backups behind Robert Royal. Both were long shots to make the team. The Bills will have to keep one of them (probably Anderson) if Schouman or Fine aren't ready for the opener.

The Bills have a tight end curse!! They havent had anyone TRULY productive since Pete Metzelaars. Could you imagine a TE on this team getting 68 passes for 609 yards and 4 touchdowns, the way Pete did in '93?

This is great but is this really the only news that has come from One Bills Drive today?
