Jason/etc,
Not sure where the idea came from that Toronto only supports the Leafs (and my word, do they)but just a little retort to that misconception.
The Raptors do real fine. They charge big dollars for all games and fill or get very close to doing so on a regualr basis. They aint crying over anything down in Raptorland.
The Toronto FC (Soccer Team) has sold out every league game they have played before the season even begins. A complete and expanding success story.
The Leafs could sell out stadiums 41 times a year. Really. That big January 1st game in Buffalo times 41. So the term "Like" just aint enough.
The Jays, then, are the issue. Look further than your hand and you may find some darn good reasons for that. Start with the building that shuts the city out (save for that needle in the sky) and you needn't go any further.
I live 40 minutes from the door of that joint and I wouldn't go see a game there if you threw me free tickets. I do, however, go on a Baseball trip to a different city each year. Baseball, to me (and countless others) is about atmosphere and soul. There is none involved with the Jays. NONE. I have been around and have witnessed the difference. The Big O in Montreal was equal to the Skydome and that is why Montreal no longer has a team.
What is surprising to me is that the Jays still average over 20 k per game. I cannot see any reason why they do and those numbers are pretty damn good.
The Argos do well enough for the same reasons and more.
Your estimation(s) of whether Toronto is a sports town and all those I heard on 550 yesterday are wrong at the very least...bitter and foolish at the worst.

well, isee the trent pennington experiment is proceeding just like the real one.bad game, good game.miami has the real pennington for the simple reason of his consistent inconsistency.in a strange way he reminds one of brett fagvre, just good enough to get your hopes up,bad enough you make all kinds of excuses for him.typical preseason game, good at times, crap at times, say what at times.running game looks real good until "fumbles"wright touches the ball.passing game......chad is the 1/8 back.i'm in a wait and see mode with her.defense looked good part of the time.not all that impressed as yet.defense makes a good play, then stupidity rears it's ugly head.ah well, preseason!!!

Toronto only cares about the Leafs. The NFL will be a novelty that will wear off, just like the Blue Jays and Raptors.
There's no wind in Toronto, but the Leafs still blow!!!

Please keep the Bills in Buffalo. Toronto really doesn't want them as most Torontonians are Toronto Argonauts fans. The majority of NFL fans in Toronto are not Bills fans which will result in these Toronto games being more like neutral site games for the Bills rather than real home games.

Hopefully they remembered to remove the 55 yard line, and hopefully the canucks don't start handing possession over after a failed 3rd down conversion.
