Live Blogging from Bills-Patriots

Game over, Patriots 20, Bills 10: Another game against the Patriots and another loss for the Bills. It's now 10 straight losses to the Pats, who have won 15 of the last 16 meetings. It's true the Bills are banged up, but a healthy roster might not have made much of a difference. The Patriots are better, just like the Jets and Dolphins were when they beat the Bills. So much for the playoff talk. A winning season is in jeopardy the way these guys are playing. --- Allen Wilson

Halftime: The Patriots went into the locker room with a 10-3, which should be considered a small victory for the Bills considering most of the recent matchups here have been over before halftime. The score is only as close as it is because Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed a 49-yard field goal late in the second quarter. New England gets the ball to open the second half, so we'll see what happens. ---Allen Wilson

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- No surprises on the Bills' inactive list. Donte Whitner, Aaron Schobel, Brad Butler and Josh Reed are all out. Newcomer Teddy Lehman is inactive at linebacker. Blake Costanzo is the first linebacker off the bench. You think they're a little thin there? Kawika Mitchell was hobbled by a sore ankle during the week, so the Bills better hope he's close to 100 percent today. You can count on the Pats testing Mitchell early and often to see how well he can move laterally against the quick passing game.

Terrence Wheatley, the Pats' rookie cornerback, is out.  That means Deltha O'Neal, who has been something of a sieve, is back at starting left corner for the home club. It would be nice if the Bills could take advantage of that matchup. The Pats have given up a lot of big plays through the air, so the Bills need to take advantage. Hey, maybe Roscoe Parrish could actually have a big game! Parrish is complaining about not getting the ball enough, again. He said he's more than a punt return specialist. Well, the Bills are certainly paying him to be more than that.

It would help if Parrish got open and proved himself as a reliable target for Trent Edwards. He hasn't has more than four catches in a game since the Dallas game last season. Last week, Parrish had 51 yards receiving. That was the third time in his career that he had more than 50 yards receiving in a game. He has had more than 56 yards in a game ONCE in his four-year career. He had four catches for 104 yards against the Jets in the third game of the 2006 season.

The Bills need someone to contribute as a second wide receiver. The Pats have a history of taking Lee Evans out of games. In his last four games against New England, Evans has eight total catches for 72 yards and no touchdowns. Clearly, this would be an ideal week for rookie James Hardy to have some sort of impact. A catch, perhaps?
