Hey, all Bills fans... Darcy Ruff gives you all a great piece of advice to send Ralphie W a message that says, "Either put a winning product together, or we don't sell your games out anymore."
"Why don't you try staying away from the Bills games?"
How about it, folks? Tell Ralph that it's time to start getting serious about making the Bills a winner.

Lloydie:
Cowher- Pipe dream to think he'd ever go to Buffalo. Not a prestigous job and Wilson can't pay him as much as the Cowboys, Redskins and Eagles can. My guess is that he ends up in Philly after next season, once the Eagles realize how terrible of a coach Reid is (and he is really bad, the national media gives him a free pass).
Billick- A "brilliant" offensive mind in Minnesota, but never made Baltimore's offense into anything. If you think he was one of the top ten reasons they won a Super Bowl, you're nuts. That credit goes to Ray Lewis, Marvin Lewis and Ozzie Newsome.
Haslett- Yes, he won ONE playoff game. But he is a terrible coach. Take it from someone who once lived in New Orleans. His dictator, military style flies at first but pros grow tired of him in a hurry (See results of Rams games after the honeymoon wore off). Jauron is a better coach than Haslett. Trust me on this.
Marty- For once, this is at least a feasible option. Great coach, don't think he'd mind coaching in Buffalo. Problem is his terrible playoff record (5-13), but at least he'd get you there. Second problem: he's 65, how much longer would he want to withstand the rigors of professional coaching.
Sherman- Never really bought what you were selling there, Lloydie. He's being exposed right now at A&M. Stoops coached circles around him last weekend (more than the talent disparity in that game).
Oh wait, this is all moot because you gave Jauron an extension. Fire him, Lloydie. Show him who's boss!

"The object is to fill the stands. The Bils are doing magnificent in this regard."
Here's the answer: nobody goes to the games. Or, let the stands at the Ralph be majority-occupied by the visitors' fans.
Let Ralph get the message loud and clear: Put a winner on that field, or nobody comes out to the stadium.

If we lose one of the next three games, we are toast.
Posted by: SabreFan | November 11, 2008 at 04:38 PM
Lloydie,
You don't seem to understand how it works in Buffalo.
The object is NOT repeat NOT to win games.
The object is to fill the stands. The Bils are doing magnificent in this regard.

I don't understand why everyone is so down on Trent? I mean, he still gives a good interview, right? That it would have appeared to have been the criteria for a great QB in this town if you listened to Sully and Paul Hamilton.."ohh he is a pleasure to speak with..oohhh ahhhh"...
If it wasn't so funny you would have to cry. Of course some of us are laughing so hard we are crying.

"His replacement will be Hank Bullough"
That's even MORE backwards.
Try Marty Schottenheimer... or Brian Billick... or Jim Haslett... or Bill Cowher. All these guys have at least won ONCE in the post-season!

Just heard a rumor from a very believable source.
Undertaker Jauron will be fired.
His replacement will be Hank Bullough.
This should please Lloydie.

What's missing from this team is HEART. No intensity, no effort, no winning. The O-line couldn't punch a hole thru a wall of pillows. The D-line can't find the QB. For almost a decade, poor o-line play has kept this team out of the playoffs. Don't blame Edwards. He has to be perfect to make up for the fat o-line and lazy WR's. Fix the o-line, and everyone gets better.

For those of you that are criticizing the Bills for not running enough, your suggestion boggles my mind.
Pull up the Bills-Patriots game on your TIVO. When you're done with that watch the Jets game on TIVO. The Bills aren't running because they can't, they aren't good enough to do it. Marshawn Lynch is a good player, so is Fred Jackson. Unfortunately, those guys need some help from the fat guys in front of them and we might have the worst run blocking line in the entire league. I wish that were hyperbole. It's not. There aren't too many teams in this league that struggle to break three yards per carry with consistency.
If running into the line three times and punting on 4th and 8 is what you desire, then we should definitely start running more. Me? I'd rather give Edwards a chance to score some points until the Bills can get some real offensive linemen in here this summer.

Turk, wake up, your offensive line is just that -- 'OFFENSIVE'!! peters holds out all pre-season, and now has whip-lash from wathcing all the D-ends blowing around him. I saw a replay of a sack that LB porter got, he went THRU a double team of Peters and Dockery, what a JOKE?! those guys (esp Peters) should be giving their game checks to Edwards (who isnt playing that great either, but when you only have one quality WR, and no time to throw, makes it difficult to put points on the board)...so turk, do what they did when we had a great running attack... just RUN RUN RUN! what have you got to lose?! i think the O-lineman can at least run block, right?! sure cant pass-block....
p.s. do we have a pass rusher besides Schobel??!! if not, just zoen blitz - works for the steelers...
and thats my $.02

Trent came as the second coming as Jim Kelly, Tom Brady ,Joe Montana etc . Trent is an average QB,MAYBE. Intellect ? Confused is closer. It's different on tape than on the field .No Kidding ! A video game is a little different than a real 200 mph at Daytona. Oh, there's no running game to help poor Trent. The biggest O-line in football and they can't run or pass block .Cassel received nothing but doubts, no accolades ,but outplays Trent weekly .

what is the diff. between the 9-0 titans and 5-4 bills?????????They understand what type of team they are and play to there strenghts.....2 good RB'S= run the football and with confidence(play calling, not running just once out 3 plays).....good LB'S = let them bring the heat a.k.a chargers of 07'.....what we have is tow talented RB'S who get lost in the game plan once we drop by 7 points and all the sudden the pressure is on our so called spuerman 2nd year QB to win the game from the 1st qtr to the 4th..............since when did we rely so prematuraly on a 2nd year solid QB to win the whole game, take the last 3 games and check how many times we passed on first down and also passed in 3 and short situations...not to say the running game has been that perfect but you have to let them know that they are part of the game plan...remember last year when lynch carried our offense????all of the sudden because edwards gets us through 4 games CLOSELY we call him be this years mamrshawn lynch!! NO let's get back to what got us to respectability and thats physical football(balance run/pass) and making plays on both sides and how about the coaches showing some fire sometimes jauron you can stop falling asleep on the sidelines now....its basically playoff time for use because I believe every game but two are against AFC teams.....GOOD LUCK here's to hoping some player(s), coaches, or anyone in that organization lets them know what it is they have to do to win 4GET studying film, forget being a motor DE lol we need the playmakers and players from all areas to look at what they need to do and that is be physical and leave it all out there on the field and hey trent lets not do those turnover things anymore they kind of hurt us

FIRE MAURON!!!!!!!
I am so glad Ralph hired the marketing guy (Brandon) to run the team......just what we needed. Great draft Russ. I watched the Pats with injuries and their rookies were key contributors......ours are pathetic! Move this team to Toronto with a real owner who spends money. Would you rather keep the Bills in Buffalo and lose or have 2 Buffalo home games a year and win??? It is tough to win when year after year, you spend less than everyone else. How could this team not have a number 2 receiver and a tightend!
Posted by: matt | November 10, 2008 at 01:02 PM
Not to overload it, but the News rightly graded the coaches with an "F", whatever that stands for. If they don't get re-oriented, neither will the Bills. But the players are taking this to heart. Kawika Mitchell said each player has to be confident they will beat their man, and they are not confident. Naturally, neither is Trent Edwards. But, the will is still there. They are not running out the season. The talent can get them by the next few games. The return of a few players like Schobel and Reed can make a difference. We will know Monday night if the coaches can pull the Bills together or not. If they lose to Cleveland, then we know what territory they are in, and that's not a good place to be. What can be worse than those "Bickering Bills"? We could see that. But we could see a re-emergence just as well. MNF will be a playoff for a playoff for a playoff game.

I need to give this team a pep-talk.
Posted by: Jim_Boucokee | November 10, 2008 at 12:12 PM
Jauron has the somber look of a pallbearer on the Bills sideline. That's a perfect demeanor for this team and the overall coaching strategy. Just once, I'd like to hear the other team's players say that the Bills did things out there that surprised us, a frequent lament by Bills players.

10 loss in a row to the Pats. 15 out of 16! Enough said. By the way, who were the people on this board cheering after Brady's injury, and that the Pats wouldn't finish the season .500???

FROM NFL.com:
That entire sequence told you all that was required to know about the Bills on this day, because New England finished that drive with a Cassel 13-yard scoring run up the middle -- and the Bills would trail for the rest of the game. They did not look like a team that came to beat New England. Only one that came to hang around. They looked very much like a team that just lost its 10th straight game to the Patriots.
"on this day"?
THIS IS JAURON FOOTBALL EVERYDAY

Ralphie do something right in your lifetime get rid of "No Flag" Jauron and Turk...Don't wait do it now and maybe the Bills might get a wildcard...
Posted by: AC | November 10, 2008 at 08:34 AM
How on earth can we PUNT at 4th and 3 from NE's 39 yard line at the end of the 1st Half??? Go for it!! That was a disgraceful call. The game was 10-3 and maybe we continue the drive (which began at our 39 yd. line) and set up for a FG to make it 10-6. We know they're getting the ball in the 2nd half, the Patriots are picking up first downs at will and Gostkowski just missed a FG!
We didn't lose the game punting in this situation, but the lack of risk taking is not the mark of a winning team. The Jets, Fins, Steelers, Colts (all teams we may be in a wild card fight with) go for it in that scenario. We punt. Pathetic.

Jason Peters is making $3,999,999 more than he should be. He must feel sheepish. Memo to Peters: Hellloooo? Jason. You have to actually be good to hold out. Making the Pro Bowl one year doesn't mean you're good. You have to follow it up year after year. Geeesssshhhh.

EVERYONE THIS WAS A WAKE UP CALL FROM THE FANS TO THE COACHES TO THE PLAYERS....WHEN CONTENDERS COME AROUND TRY TO MEET THE INTENSITY......IF YOU ARE A COACH TRY MAKING ADJUSTMENTS...THROWING A FLAG WITH ATTITUDE?...OFFENSE????WHAT OFFENSE DIDN'T WE TALK SO MUCH ABOUT NOT GOING AWAY FROM THE RUN GAME WITH OUR 1-2 PUNCH BUT YEAT ONLY DOWN BY 7 OR 10 MOST OF THE GAME WE PLAYED BACK IN THE SHOTGUN LIKE WE WERE DOWN BY 20...WHY? THE TEAM HAS TO GET IT TOGETHER MAYBE SOME COACHES AND FANS WERE TOO HYPED ABOUT EDWARDS INCLUDING ME WHO HAD HIM GOING TO THE PRO BOWL AFTER 6 GAMES...YET WHAT MAKES A PRO BOWLER IS HIS PLAY AGAINST GOOD TEAMS NOT THE RAMS, RAIDERS...MUST I GO ON???? STOP PUTTING PRESSURE ON HIM TO TO WHEN GAMES AND USE THE GUYS WHO GOT YOU THROUGH IT LAST YEAR WHEN THE OFFENSE HAD NO ANSWERS...REMEMBER LYNCH AND JACKSON LATE LAST YEAR THE GREAT 1-2 PUNCH WE RELIED ON TO (((CONTROL)) THE GAME....WE NEED TO START BACK AT GROUNG ZERO AGAIN IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE STOP LEANING ON A SECOND YEAR PRO AND HIT THE GROUND UNTIL THE BALANCE OF THE OFFENSE IS EFFECTIVE AGAIN....ALSO ATTITUDE FROM THE COACHES AND PLAYERS WOULD HELP...THEY WERE ONLY PLAYING A TEAM WHO BEAT THEM 56-10 WHEN THEY LAST SAW THEM BUT DID WE SEE MUCH URGENCY???IT LOOKED LIKE STROUD AND A COUPLE OTHERS WERE ONLY UP TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE BUT ON BOTH SIDES WHEN THEY NEEDED IT MOST THEY COULDN'T MAKE UP A PLAY ESPECIALLY THE OFFENSE.......IM DYING OUT HERE IN FREDONIA WHERE I GO TO COLLEGE BUT AS A BUFFALO NATIVE I'VE WATCHED GAMES OVER THE PAST 10 YEARS AND I WOULDN'T BE MORE DISSAPOINTED TO SEEM A TEAM THAT SHOWED SO MUCH PROMISE NOT EVEN HIT THE PLAYOFFS....BUT ISN'T THAT NORMAL AROUND HERE? I CAN'T TAKE THAT FEELING AGAIN QUICKLY I MEAN QUICLY THIS TEAM NEEDS TO FIND THEMSELVES AND BRING THEIR HEARTS BACK ON THE FIELD BECAUSE THOUGH THEY HAVE DROPPED 3 STRAIGHT THEY ARE 5-4 AND PLAY THEIR AFC EAST FOES ALL OVER AGAIN IN DEC. AND I WOULD HOPE THAT REVENGE IF ANYTHING WOULD PLAY A ROLE IN OUR STRETCH FROM NOW TIL THE END OF THE SEASON...YES WE ARE LONGSHOTS BUT HOW MANY SEASONS HAVE WE BEEN IN THIS POSITION BUT DIFF. FROM OTHERS IS WE HAVE LOST 4 OUT OF OUR LAST FIVE BUT STILL REMAIN ONLY ONE GAME FROM THE NO.1 SPOT....NOTHING COMES EASY IN THIS LEAGUE AND HOPE THAT MESSAGE IS ACROSS THE BILLS LOCKEROOM A NUMBER OF PLAYERS NEED TO RE-EVALUATE THEMSELVES BUT THAT LIST IS TOO LONG....JUST LIKE THE ELECTION STATED....(IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE..THE TIME IS NOW)...THE QUESTION IS WILL WE BE ABLE TO SAY ((((Y-E-S W-E C-A-N))) REACH THAT PLACE CALLED THE PLAYOFFS???????A CHANGE MUST HAPPEN OR ONCE AGAIN WE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT WHAT COULD'VE HAPPEN

Why haven't we benched Jason Peters yet? The guy must think he's playing tight end again. This might send a message in the locker room. We shouldn't have given Jauron an extension so quick; this guy's obviously soft. It's time to send a message in the locker room, then maybe these guys will get it together. McGee should've been taken out of the Miami game after the first time he got burned by Ted Ginn (its Ted Ginn, enough logic). Jauron needs to stop keeping guys in who aren't getting the job done. We've got a rookie corner with a huge contract yet is barely seeing the field. The 1st game against Seattle, Peters sat the bench, and look at how we tore them up. Yeah I know, the Seahawks have had a terrible season, but I'd argue that it's partially due to how we did them in during that 1st game. It's time for these guys to get their stuff together, cause as it stands now, the playoffs are coming closer to an after-thought.

Well, to paraphrase the old Lincoln joke, other than the outcomes, how did the Sabres and the Bills enjoy their weekend in New England?

Joe in LA is talking about the couple who got busted for having sex in the ladies room at the Ralph during the Jets game. I was at that game and I can't say as I blame them.

Unfortunly I smell Houston oilers here-40 years in one city,no championships, then move the team

No emotion. No passion. I like Edwards... but he has to get fired up and lead the offense!! How do they not get fired up about three division games in a row?
Terrible coaching... terrible play calling... no commitment to the run. Missed opportunity on the obvious need for a challenge in the 1st Q. Unbelievable! So frustrating!
Posted by: Bill Cummings | November 09, 2008 at 08:37 PM
You know what happened? We were completely out-coached for the 3rd game in a row. The fact that Jauron didn't challenge on their first drive (led to TD), repeatedly didn't go for it in their half numerous times on 4th down, and did not stick to the run when it worked in 2nd half, played a soft zone against Wes Welker and didn't blitz nearly enough (1 sack?)...this is not the Defense's fault, obviously. The coach and Trent lost this game for us...he didn't have one sharp throw...was off all day long.
Posted by: Collin | November 09, 2008 at 08:23 PM
What the hell is Joe in la talking about?
Posted by: Jim in Anchorage | November 09, 2008 at 08:04 PM
OH YEAH THEY WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR NOR DO I WANT THEM TO PLAYING LIKE THIS. I HATE THIS TEAM!!!!!!!!
Posted by: dale | November 09, 2008 at 08:03 PM
It's not just the coaches, Bills fans. You guys have very average talent to begin with, so this is the obvious result when you couple that with injuries. It's clear you overrated yourselves, believing the Seattle, Jacksonville and San Diego wins were indicative of more than they were.
That said, there's still a good chance the Bills will be 8-5 after the Miami game. The next four games are eminently winnable for you guys. Romeo Crennel seems determined to replace Art Shell as the most incompetent coach in the NFL, Kansas City and San Fran are jokes, and the Bills will probably beat Miami at "home." Your mediocrity will cost you one of those games, which is why I say 8-5.
Keep up the venomous posts, though. This is always must-read material the night after a Bills loss.
Posted by: Chad | November 09, 2008 at 08:01 PM
The main problem is the inability to run the ball. The nose tackle from the Jets dominated us last week. This game Lynch had 46 yards rushing and Fred Jackson 14. New England's Ellis had 105. ...You have to take time off the clock and move the chains with the run.
