More Bills visitors

The Bills have been busy bringing free agents in, but aren't doing so well in getting any of them signed. Middle linebacker Mike Peterson and journeyman defensive end Jason Babin visited One Bills Drive on Friday. Both are curious visits, though.

Peterson has been very productive with six 100-tackle seasons in Indianapolis and Jacksonville, but the Bills have Paul Posluszny and John DiGiorgio in the middle. Peterson might be better than both, but he'll be 33 in June and hasn't played a full 16-game season since 2005. He spent most of last season in Jacksonville's dog house after a confrontation with coach Jack Del Rio after Peterson celebrated a sack while the Jaguars were trailing Cincinnati, 21-3.

The Bills need pass-rushing help, but Babin doesn't really fit. He has just 15 career sacks in five years for three teams. The Bills already have someone like Babin: Chris Kelsay, who has 17 sacks in seven seasons. Babin was a first-round draft pick (27th overall) by Houston in 2004, but he has never come close to playing to that level.
