Riemersma running
Former Bills tight end Jay Riemersma - the last Buffalo tight end to catch 50 passes in a season - is running for Congress. The Grand Rapids (Mich.) Press reports Riemersma filed paperwork to run for U.S. Rep. Peter Hoekstra's second-district seat in southwestern Michigan. Riemersma played for the Bills from 1997 to 2002. He caught 53 passes in 2001. That's the only year in the last 15 the Bills have had a TE catch 50 balls. Hoekstra is running for governor of Michigan.
