Bell in, T.O. up
Demetrius Bell was practicing and working with the starting unit today as the Bills took the practice field in preparation for Monday's season-opener in New England. Bell had missed the last several weeks of practice due to a sore back.
Meanwhile, receiver Terrell Owens looked pumped up and energetic during the 15 minutes of individual drills the media got to watch. Near the end of individual route-running drills, Owens caught a deep pass down the sideline from Trent Edwards in full stride behind his back. Then he whooped and hollered a bit as he ran down the field. For whatever it's worth, T.O. looks fired up and ready to go.
Tight end Derek Fine was not practicing due to the hamstring injury that has kept him out a couple of weeks. Cornerback Drayton Florence (sprained knee) also was out. Defensive tackle Spencer Johnson was limited.
We'll be posting around 3 p.m. with updates after post-practice interviews.
