Edwards limited, upbeat
Bills quarterback Trent Edwards said he was limited in practice today and still is limited in the amount of full physical activity in which he's participating. But he said he is felling better after his concussion of 10 days ago.
He indicated the after-effects of the concussion aren't completely gone. Asked if he's having lingering effects, Edwards said: “Not too much. Slowly but surely they’re all kind of going away. I’m happy with the medical attention I’m getting and the training staff here. So in terms of the help and the information I’m getting from those guys it’s been great so far.”
Edwards was reluctant to get specific about the severity of headaches he encountered after the blow to the head he received against the New York Jets. Is he concerned about getting his starting job back after the bye week?
“Honestly that’s not on the top of my mind right now," Edwards said. “I have a lot to think about in terms of just getting healthy and helping the team win. We have a big game on Sunday and I’m going to do everything I can this week to help Ryan out just like he did these past couple of weeks for me. And that’s my role here and my responsibility this week."

Not sure why all of you love Fitz so much! He has not been very good either! Both QB's are average. They could possibly be good, but not with Mauron's coaching and offensive philosophy - none! The QB position more than any other on this team is impacted by Mauron's incompetence and "playing not to lose" style!

Edwards limited
Now that's the most honest description I've seen yet about him.
He's just as limited after the concussion as before; great poise though.

Hey Trent, take your time coming back. I think we as fans have seen enough. How does playing for the raiders sound.

that clipboard could get heavy and trent could separate a shoulder. then what would we do?

Trent is a nice guy, but not a leader. The team needs a leader the way Kelly use to be. The same on defense, where are the leaders ?

Don't draft QBs from California. They can't paly in cold weather.

Fitz is bad and nothing but a marginal back up. Edwards has not been great, but performing in a Jauron offense would even limit Peyton Manning! The coaching is pathetic, the O line may be the worst in the league and the offense shows no imagination. All that said, I think Trent could be an average starting QB in this league if he had the right coaching and a real O line. Sadly we will never know b/c the senile old man (Ralph) is too cheap to fire Mauron! Unfortunately a few more wins and we could be stuck with Mauron in 2010 as well. Afterall, if he finishes 7-9 for the 4th straight season, Ralph will site "progress" again for keeping him rather than being a cheap old $%#^@!

hopefully no long term effects from that ding to the cabasa, but let the saga of qbing unfold for itself.i can remember when cheks er....trent was a backup and got a job thru injury.

gsimons, the reason people say Fitz is not the answer is because the saw him play last year in Cincinnati. I live in Cincy and I can tell you Fitz has no arm. The Bungles just quit calling 10-15 yard out patterns to Johnson becasue Fitz couldn't get the ball there. As long as we play teams that don't score and throw 3-5 picks a game Fitz is a winning QB.

Trents first class all the way and nice guy.
But we need to let Fitz show us what he's got.
People say Fitz is not the answer at QB...how do they know that?? Give the guy a chance.

Everyone blames Edwards for how bad he has been playing this year. It totally isn't all his fault. Yes he throws a lot of check passes but sheesh he need a better line to give him time. I bet if Brady was are QB his results wouldn't be great either because his offensive line is not protecting him. so give him a break.

No L Martin, the team does need him...to hold the clipboard the rest of the year.

Trent Edwards is what appears to be a declining commodity in the contemporary world: a first-class person.

Amen.

Hold the clip board the rest of the year Trent! The team doesn't need you!
