Evans, Owens creep along
We realize this dispatch comes from the Department of the Obvious, but: Terrell Owens is off to the slowest start of his career as a starter. Lee Evans is off to the second slowest start of his career from a yardage standpoint. Neither Owens or Evans are in the top 50 in the NFL in catches through five weeks. Both have 12. Owens has 202 yards and Evans 159. It's Owens' lowest catch total through five games since his second season, 1997. He has 12 for 214 that year. Evans has been a slow starter throughout his Bills career. In 2004, his rookie season, he started 10 for 248. In '05 he was 11 for 179. In '07 he was 12 for 113 through five games.
