No. 5 out; No. 95 questionable

Quarterback Trent Edwards officially is out for Sunday's game, and defensive tackle Kyle Williams is questionable after participating in part of practice on Friday.

Edwards was not at practice Friday. Said coach Dick Jauron: "As far as I know, and I haven’t seen him but I have finally texted him – they allowed me to text him – he says he’s doing better, and (trainer) Bud (Carpenter) says he’s doing better also."

Said Carpenter: "He’s progressing like you’re supposed to progress after what he’s had. No setbacks - put it that way."

So Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at QB and Gibran Hamdan will be the No. 2 QB.

Safety Donte Whitner (ankle), safety Bryan Scott (ankle) and tackle Jonathan Scott (ankle) also all are out for the game. Tight end Shawn Nelson (illness) is doubtful.

Defensive end Chris Kelsay (eye) was limited and is probable. Cornerback Terrance McGee (knee) practiced fully and is probable.

Receiver Terrell Owens watched practice from the side but did not participate. Regarding Owens, Jauron would say only: "Terrell was just – it was a non-injury. It was not injury related."

Running back Xavier Omon, who was sick Thursday, practiced fully.

Great move to keep Edwards out until he is better. Maybe he can go on the IR, he needs a lot of time before gets better. Kyle Williams should sit with him because he could use the rest. I know he must have whip lash from watching the Jets rusher run by him all day, and he must be tired of chasing them from behind. Oh, but I forgot, I did read he is having an outstanding year.(ha! ha! ha!) But he shouldn't feel too bad they ran by the rest of the D-line and linebackers too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are many Bills fans here in LA.
What should we name the Bills when they move here?

The Governor of California just paved the way for a 75,000 seat state of the art stadium to be built 15 miles from downtown LA. The LA Times said the number one team targeted is the Buffalo Bills.
Enjoy them while you have them!

You go girl, Chris...keep it up with the nonsensical political rantings, just like me! (But nowhere near as good as my racist stuff.)

Oh my GOD! I want Ken Kendal to take over for JMauron's press conferences from now on!!!

He could make sense of obama's fing political cr@p!!

spell check: FAIL

Wow, Ken....you must be a Harvard MBA.

i think ken said it all(i think).it is amazing though,a head coach in the nfl starts game planning with no direct communication with his starting qb.it is reassuring to know that everyone on the coaching staff and in the qb position is so supremely talented that there really is no difference who gets plugged in,no worry,it'll just keep ticking like a swiss watch.

Its nice to know that the head coach finally got in touch with his starting quarterback, 5 days after the incident. Good thing to know that communication is highly valued on this team...

Wow Ken! I felt as much like a 6 year old trying to read your comments as you felt wrtiting them...

Medical necessity finally gives the spinless coaching staff the cover it needs to do what should have been done at least two weeks ago. Wish we had Dogkiller Toad on our roster.

Ken Kendall - Delete your comments. They are indecipherable.

My God this is becoming to be a rediculus out come year after year of disapointing meager wins I've been a Bills fan my entire life and I keep hoping we'll see another streaks like the 90s brought for our beloved Bills but between our less than motivating head couch and assistant couchs who are all useless as teachers or play callers.the collage scouts we have haven't done their jobs to bring in much tallent let alone our elderly owner Ralp Wilson lossen the purse strings and let get some talent that can play!we banked so much on a has been like T.O. who was only brought in to sell tickets.well the name has done nothing but make his own commodaty drop hope we cut our loses in him becuase he's drop some very cathable pass's.not to mention the young inexperianced offencive line the injuries are also killing us.but wait maybe these players just don't want to be embarassed any further.I'll keep watching and praying for a marricale but I think our play off dreams are just that dreams of better days when the talent of the 90s graced Ralp Wilson stadium.
