Poz, Whitner practice
Linebacker Paul Pozluszny and safety Donte Whitner both were on the field practicing with the starting unit at the start of the Buffalo Bills' Wednesday practice in Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Posluszny has been out the past four games since breaking his left forearm vs. New England. Whitner has been out the past two games since breaking his thumb vs. New Orleans. If both make it through the practice week, it will be a big boost to the Bills' defense, which has played four pretty good games and one stinker (in Miami) despite a woeful lack of support from the offense.
On offense, the Bills were without starting right tackle Jonathan Scott, who was hobbling on a sore ankle Sunday. Recently acquired Jamon Meredith, not veteran Kirk Chambers, was in his spot on the line. Veteran safety Bryan Scott, out the past two games with a high-ankle sprain, was watching practice but was not working. He has missed the past two games. It would be no surprise if he missed several more, although he's walking around on it pretty well.
