Williams' shoulder
It doesn't sound like Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams will be playing this week against Carolina.
Williams, off to an outstanding start to his year, has a separated acromioclavicular joint in his shoulder. It's where the collarbone and the shoulder blade meet. He did not practice Wednesday.
Safety Donte Whitner (ankle) did watch practice but did not work. Cornerback Terrance McGee (knee) also did not practice. Safety Bryan Scott (ankle) was limited. He might still be a week away from returning. Right tackle Johnathan Scott (ankle) also probably is another week away, at least. So expect rookie Jamon Meredith to get another start vs. the Panthers. Defensive end Chris Kelsay, who got poked in the eye vs. the Jets, was limited.
