Worst stretch of TO's career

Four games. Eight catches.

That's Terrell Owens' production through the first quarter of the season for the Buffalo BIlls.

It's the worst four-game stretch of Owens' career as a starter in the NFL.

At no point in his 14 NFL seasons has Owens started four straight games and caught fewer than 10 passes.

Owens became a starter seven games into his rookie season of 1996 for the San Francisco 49ers. In his third through sixth startes in that season he caught 10 passes. That was his poorest four-game stretch as a starter until now. Owens did have a slow start to his second season, in 1997. But he did not start the first game of that year. He saw limited playing time the first game and caught 1 pass for 12 yards. He started Week Two that year and produced six catches the next three weeks. In Week Five, he had five catches.
