Relocated you hit the nail on the head. Players are kept for their rookie contracts and then let go rather than paid MKT value after those contracts are up. Look at what the O-line is being paid and you will see that the Bills are getting their monies worth. Almost the same thing on defense except they get paid pretty well for their sorry play. Offense is being blamed for defense being on the field so long. Not true, they are out there because they aren't doing what is necessary to get off. Giving 170+ yds per game, how did they win 3 games?

Whats wrong with the BIlls? Well I would say that if you look around the leauge and notice how many former Bills are impact players on other teams. We seem to let go of our talented prospects in the hopes of getting some impact player in the Draft. Leodis McKelvin may be a great player but I would have rather put the money towards Jabrari Greer and picked up some Offensive line talent. If it's not the players then it really has to be coaching and the front office. The idea that you can even compete in this league with that offensive line is laughable. Payton Manning couldn't be effective with the amount of time any of our QB's are getting. We have no mid level game because our tight ends are not good enough and the coaches mysteriously decided that Josh Reed is to be used in moderation when the man's bread and butter is playing the slot. Watching this team play is depressing and metaphorically speaking I have had more satisfying bowel movements than this team has had satisfying football games.

RealNFLfan, I beleive the identity of the Bills offense is clear. They run the Jar Head basic pop gun offense. You know, only 5 formations and 5 plays. They have Evans and T.O run straight down the field on every play. Jackson or Lynch run straight up the back of the linemen. No motion, no shifting, no creativity. That's their identity. Plain and simple.

This team is just awful from top to bottom. Until team is sold by our senile owner and pretty much started over from scratch, there is no sense even caring anymore.

Watch these other teams that really have a clue, you will enjoy the games and it doesn't feel like you've been kicked in the gut for 60 minutes. Absolutely pathetic...

I would rather see all our true Bills players come out of retirement suit up and show these amateurs how its done.

While I agree with most of realnflfan, I disagree with his comment about the QB's. If you make the excuse that the O-line is making the RB's look bad and the offense ineffective then you have to say the same for the QBs. I'm not sure what kind of QB Trent Edwards is in this mess of an offense. I do know that Matt Cassel looked darn good in the NE system and now he looks like garbage in KC

The offense is the absolute ruination of this team. They either don't run the football enough (18 combined carries for Marshawn and Fred yesterday) or they don't run the football well enough. They have two QBs who are masquerading as starting QB in the NFL in Fitzpatrick and Edwards. Their head coach has not established any identity for this offense. One could make the claim that an offense with Marshawn, Fred, Owens and Evans should be a lot better. But, how good are these players collectively and how good is the coaching of this team from an offensive standpoint? They are not able to get out of their own way offensively. A short gain here, a penalty there, punt. That seems to be the offense, in my opinion. If and when Jauron is removed as HC of this team, the next coach has to have some sort of idea of how he wants his offense to look. Jauron's offensive ideology is flawed. He has saddled Trent Edwards with two OCs who have never called plays at the NFL level before they worked here in AVP and Schonert. It is difficult for me to believe that a QB of Edwards' limited ability would flourish for an extended period of time with inexperience at offensive coordinator. Look at Miami. QB Chad Henne's offensive coordinator is Dan Henning. Henning has a ton of experience as an offensive coach. His offense is not pretty to watch, but he can help navigate a young QB's journey through tough waters. He is totally in sync with what head coach Tony Sparano wants to do, and that is run the football. They can utilize a formation like the Wildcat to help them run the ball better, which can take more pressure off Henne. The Dolphins' offense is not going to light up the scoreboard, but they will be able to control clock and put each player in the best position to contribute. The Bills do no such thing. Their offense is simplistic and sophmoric. It is an embarrassment to the National Football League.

Somebody explain something to me. Sully and others refer to the typical Bills performance and the typical Jauron-inspired efforts as "mediocrity." When did we ascend to the level of "mediocrity?"

I think the opposing defenses would vote for the play calling. See the below from the ESPN Recap:

"Texans linebacker DeMeco Ryans joked about how simple it was to contain Buffalo's popgun attack.

"It was easy," Ryans said. "They kind of had the same formations, they didn't give us a lot of motions and things. So it was a simple offense to go against."

Maybe Turk Schonert was more than just a bitter ex-employee when he talked about the "Pop Warner" offense.
