Bills LB coach

The Bills have hired Georgia Tech assistant Giff Smith to be their outside linebackers coach, according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. There has been no confirmation from the Bills yet on the assistant coaching hires of new head coach Chan Gailey.

Smith has been at Georgia Tech the past six years as defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. He was hired by Gailey, who coached Tech from 2002 to 2007.

There's still no word on who Gailey will choose as defensive coordinator. Arizona Cardinals running backs coach Curtis Modkins reportedly will serve as new offensive coordinator. Gailey will be in charge of overseeing the offense and intends to call the plays.
