Maybin on workouts

Bills linebacker Aaron Maybin looked noticeably bigger in the upper body today while talking to reporters at the Bills' Fieldhouse. The BIlls started offseason conditioning workouts on Monday. Maybin said he weighs 246 pounds.

Said Maybin: "Right now I’m probably 245, 246. I think if I gain another 10 pounds I think I’ll still be around the same speed, the same explosiveness, that kind of staff. … If I start to feel like its uncomfortable then I’ll slow down."

"I’ve been doing a lot of work back home with my trainer in Baltimore and we did some work down in Miami with some guys. I’m just trying to get my body in the best shape I can get it in. ... While we were on our break, I would do probably two or three workouts a day. We’d start out in the morning with a lift, then in the afternoon I’d do either some kick boxing or some mixed martial arts training, stuff like that. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just getting in the weight room and putting on all this weight that I couldn’t do anything with. I wanted to make sure it was all functional weight, that I was stronger, that I was more coordinated that I was faster, and I feel like I’ve been accomplishing that."
