Former University at Buffalo running back James Starks will have to wait to make his NFL debut. The Green Bay Packers placed their sixth-round draft pick on the active/physically unable to perform list to start training camp.
Starks is dealing with a hamstring injury that has lingered since the offseason practices. This is a tough setback for Starks, who is expected to compete for the No. 2 running back spot behind starter Ryan Grant.
Starks' career at UB was dogged by nagging injuries, so you hope he can overcome this latest ailment.
