PITTSFORD -- As if the Bills needed another injury, starting right tackle Cornell Green left the field early after getting banged up during pass blocking drills. Head coach Chan Gailey downplayed the injury, calling it minor. He also said Green was held out the rest of the afternoon as a precaution.
Although Gailey didn't specify the nature of Green's injury, but Green did leave the field with an ice wrap around his right leg.
The Bills better hope he gets back soon. His replacement Saturday, Jamon Meredith, had a brutal practice. He struggled in pass protection and the running game. A nice run by rookie running back C.J. Spiller was nullified when Meredith was caught holding rookie defensive end Alex Carrington. Meredith is projected to be the team's No. 3 tackle.
