Bills-Lions notes

Trent Edwards closed the preseason with a passer rating of 102.6. Anyone who remembers that a month from now will need to get a life.

The Bills' starting defense played two series, 11 plays total. Drayton Florence had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown. The interesting thing for the defense was it played a true 4-3 scheme. On the line were Dwan Edwards, Marcus Stroud, Kyle Williams and Chris Kelsay. At linebacker were Paul Posluszny, Andra Davis and Kawika Mitchell. No doubt the Bills want to cause the Miami Dolphins to spend some time this week working on both the 3-4 and the 4-3. Honestly, the Bills' defense is pretty much a mystery heading into the season. Defensive coordiantor George Edwards did not show much in this summer's games.

Tight end J.P. Foschi didn't help himself in the first half. He had two flat-out drops, the second of which bounded into the hands of ex-Bill Ashlee Palmer for an interception. Foschi still probably makes the team, since there's nobody else at tight end.
