The Bills have signed linebacker Thomas Williams to the practice squad. Williams was released by New England on Sept. 4. He's a 6-foot-1, 240-pounder from Southern California. He entered the NFL in 2008 as a fifth-round pick of Jacksonville. He spent parts of the 2009 season on the practice squads of the Seahawks and Patriots. Williams was not a starter for USC, which had a star-studded linebacking corps. He was a utility linebacker. He played in 13 games and finished with 56 tackles, an interception, five pass deflections and two forced fumbles.
