The Bills signed offensive lineman Chad Rinehart to their practice squad Monday. To make room for Rinehart, defensive end Sunny Harris was released from the PS.
Rinehart, 6-foot-5 and 307 pounds, originally joined the NFL as a third-round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 2008. He did not play and was inactive for 13 games as a rookie. He made four starts in 2009 at right guard, but was placed on injured reserve after breaking his fibula in a game at Dallas.
A product of Northern Iowa, where he played left tackle, Rinehart was most recently on the New York Jets' practice squad. The Jets released him Oct. 12.
Rinehart, 25, paid $195 in fines in June after an Iowa judge found him guilty of public intoxication. He was arrested in January in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for pulling on a locked door of a local pizzeria.
