Roosevelt gets chance

Buffalo's own Naaman Roosevelt will step into an increased role the final three games with Lee Evans out with an ankle injury. This means the Bills will line up in passing situations in Miami this week with three undrafted rookies at receiver - David Nelson, Donald Jones and Roosevelt - along with former seventh-round pick Stevie Johnson.

Bills coach Chan Gailey admitted that defenses the last three weeks are likely to dare the Bills to beat them deep without Evans in the lineup.

Said Gailey: "Sure. I would expect that. I think they’re gonna look at it and squeeze everything down and see if they can execute the pass game. That’s smart on their part."

Gailey on Roosevelt, the former University at Buffalo star: "He’s got great quickness. He’s a very quick player. He’s got good instincts for playing the position. He hasn’t had a chance to prove it yet. We’ll see him get on the field and see what he can do in games. It’s a lot different in practice and in games. He’s at least been in some games now."
