Defensive end Robert Quinn looked good at North Carolina's pro-day workout Thursday. Quinn, who sat out the entire 2010 season due to suspension for accepting illegal benefits from an agent, ran between 4.57 and 4.61 seconds in the 40-yard dash. That makes him the fastest pure defensive end in the draft. Quinn is 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. He's a 4-3 defensive end, and he's a top 10 pick.
Inside linebacker Quan Sturdivant ran a solid time of 4.65 in the 40. He's the second or third rated inside linebacker in the draft, which is weak at that position. The top inside linebacker, Illinois' Martez Wilson, ran 4.59. Wilson figures to be drafted early in the second round and will be a consideration for Buffalo. Sturdivant is probably a third-rounder. The times of the other insdie backers rated behind Wilson from the Scouting Combine: Michigan State's Greg Jones (4.75), Miami's Colin McCarthy (4.59) and Louisiana State's Kelvin Sheppard (4.70).
