Bills linebacker Nick Barnett sat out practice Wednesday due to a sore ankle but said he expects to practice later in the week and play on Sunday. Barnett said he tweaked his ankle late in the Cincinnati game. "I tried to go out (and practice) but the trainers didn't want me to," Barnett said. "I don't think it's too serious." Linebacker Shawne Merriman had a rest day. So did running back C.J. Spiller, who has a sore leg from a fourth-quarter run in Cincinnati. Center Eric Wood lifted weights but didn't practice due to a sore ankle. Kraig Urbik worked and is likely to be back in the starting lineup at right guard. Cornerback Terrence McGee, who has missed the past three games with a sore hamstring, practiced fully.
The Eagles, meanwhile, have a handful of key injuries. Starting defensive end Trent Cole (calf) is out. Starting left tackle Jason Peters (hamstring) is expected to be out. Neither practiced. Backup defensive end Juqua Parker, who had six sacks last season, was limited due to a sore ankle. Eleven other Eagles, including quarterback Michael Vick, are on the injury report, but all of them practiced fully Wednesday. Vick hurt his left middle finger in Sunday's game.
