The Bills officially announced the signing of outside linebacker Antonio Coleman to the roster to fill Shawne Merriman's spot. Coleman had been on the Giants' practice squad. He was cut by the Bills at the end of preseason. He was on the field for the defense in seven games for the Bills last season and saw 41 defensive snaps. He made seven tackles. He knows the defensive system. At this point in the season, he's as good a fill-in as the Bills are going to find.
