Former Bills quarterback J.P. Losman is the No. 2 to starter Matt Moore with the Miami Dolphins. Losman was signed on Oct. 25 after Miami backup Sage Rosenfels was lost for the year to injury.
Losman tlalked about his role to the Dolphins' website on Thursday.
Losman on his time in Buffalo: “You just learn the business side of things. It was an exciting time when I came out. We had a great opportunity there in Buffalo and we just couldn’t get things going the way we wanted to from an organization standpoint for many different reasons. We had lots of change and it’s very hard to win when you have lots of change and there are a lot of things that play a factor. Now I’m just waiting for that next opportunity and you’ve got to work hard. It’s hard when you’re used to playing all the time, but that’s something you learn how to deal with.”
More Losman on Buffalo: "Of course there are memories and they’ve been able to string a couple of wins and it’s great for them and for the city. I love the city of Buffalo, but now we’re the opponent so obviously you want to win. … You would love to play against your old team and for that scenario to play out where you go in there, but I’ll be ready either way.”
Losman spent five seasons in Buffalo. After leaving the Bills he played a season in the UFL. Then he spent seven games on Oakland's roster in 2009, attempting just one pass. He was out of football in 2010. He has had seven offensive coordinators in his seven NFL seasons.
