The season-ending injury to Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams means backup defensive tackle Torell Troup will be called upon for more snaps - if he's up to the task. Troup, the second round draft pick in 2010, got more action against the Jets. He played 16 snaps, The 326-pounder saw just nine snaps against Washington and four against the Giants. He was inactive four of the first five games due to a sore lower back. Troup says his back is feeling good, and he's eager to show what he can. It would help the Bills a lot if he can step in for 15 to 20 snaps a game, play well and give the Bills more run-stuffing support.
Said Troup: "I've been pretty limited for the most part but hopefully the coaches see I'm moving a lot better, and they give me an opportunity to get out there on the field. I feel a lot better, and I'm getting better every week. Kyle being gone, we're going to have to step up, that's some big shoes to fill."
