---Strong safety George Wilson is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins with a neck injury, although coach Chan Gailey holds out the slight hope that his defensive leader will be able to play.
If Wilson can’t play, either veteran Bryan Scott or rookie Da’Norris Searcy will start at strong safety. Kicker Rian Lindell (shoulder) is out for the game.
Wide receiver Stevie Johnson (shoulder), defensive end Spencer Johnson (calf) and left tackle Demetrius Bell (shoulder) are all questionable but Gailey said they have a “decent chance’’ to play. Bell started the first four games but hasn’t played since injuring his shoulder in the loss at Cincinnati, a span of five games. Chris Hairston started two games at left tackle before suffering a high ankle sprain in the loss to the New York Giants and guard Andy Levitre started the last three games at left tackle. Now that Eric Wood (knee) is out for the season, Levitre will start at center on Sunday.
Linebacker Chris Kelsay (calf), right tackle Erik Pears (groin) and wide receiver David Nelson (ankle) are probable. Nelson was limited today after missing Thursday’s practice with an illness.
