The Bills signed tight end Fendi Onobun to the 53-man roster. He fills a spot created when kicker Rian Lindell went on the injured reserve list Thursday due to a shoulder injury.
Onobun played four years of college basketball for the University of Arizona from 2005 to 2009. He then played a year of college football with the University of Houston in the fall of 2009. A 6-foot-6, 263-pounder, he was a sixth-round draft pick of St. Louis in 2010 and played three games as a rookie before going on injured reserve. He spent time on the practice squads in Seattle and Washington this year, then spent one game on Jacksonville's active roster this year. He was waived by Jacksonville on Dec. 6.
Meanwhile, the Bills waived receiver Felton Huggins from the injured reserve list.
