---While not shocking considering they were once teammates if he had a vote, Marcell Dareus would tab Alabama tailback Trent Richardson for the Heisman Trophy.
“He’s embarrassing players left and right,’’ said Dareus, who has the school logo tattoed on his left hand. “That’s the whole point of the Heisman – someone who comes in and makes a real impact for the team. Without Trent Alabama would be struggling a little bit but with him he’s clearly making a difference. You can see that when he plays against other teams.’’
Richardson, who has rushed for 1,583 yards and 20 touchdowns, is a junior but will likely enter the 2012 NFL Draft where he’s expected to be one of the top five players on the board.
“He’s as physical as anyone I’ve ever met,’’ Dareus said. “I really think he’ll excel at the next level.’’
