Gostkowski off Sabres bandwagon

INDIANAPOLIS -- New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski lived in Buffalo from ages 2 to 10. Both of his parents graduated from Maryvale High School in Cheektowaga. They've moved away. But Gostkowski's grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles still live in Western New York. Gostkowski went to high school in Mississippi and went to college at Memphis in Tennessee. He's in his sixth season with the Pats and had another good year, making 28 of 33 kicks. He was All-Pro in 2008.

Gostkowski has been a big Sabres fan much of his life, but now he's friends with some of the Boston Bruins, so he has changed loyalties to the B's. Here's an audio clip of him talking about taking over for kicking great Adam Vinatieri in New England.
