Road to the Draft: Tommy Streeter

Tommy Streeter, WR, Miami
6-foot-5, 215 pounds
Draft projection: late second to fifth rounds

Lowdown: Streeter is a one-year wonder with phenomenal physical skills. For that reason, it’s hard to forecast when he will be picked. He caught 46 passes for 811 yards and eight TDs as a junior in 2011 for the Hurricanes. Then he ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.40 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine, phenomenal for his size. He’s slender. His consistency in catching the ball could be a question. He hasn’t played that much. He had only five catches as a red-shirt freshman in 2009 and one in 2010. There aren’t many burners at receiver in this draft. That may push him up the board.

Said ESPN analyst Mel Kiper: “There’s a lot of mixed opinion on Streeter. He had the one year. He doesn’t get tremendous separation. Some people think he’s a 4-5 (rounder), some think he’s a 2-3. People are all over the board.”
