Graham Greene, in print and on film
Once you've read "The End of the Affair," you might want to sample a few of Graham Greene's other works. The list is long and quite impressive. But you might want to try:
"Travels With My Aunt" (which was made into a film directed by George Cuckor and starring Maggie Smith), "In Search of a Character," or "A World of My Own."
He also wrote "The Comedians," which became a movie in 1967 starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Alec Guinness, Peter Ustinov and Lillian Gish.
Greene even wrote plays and they are collected in a book titled, "Collected Plays."
What a renaissance man.

You forgot the Quiet American. Although the movie wasn't that good, the book is excellent. Another is Brighton Rock, also made into a movie starring a very young Richard Attenborough.
