The Goo Goo Dolls, in town this weekend for what Jeff Miers said was a great show at Darien Lake, reportedly made it a priority to stop into E.B. Green's to greet Jackie Jocko, the legendary piano man.
Jocko reported Saturday that two of them stopped in.
"Which two?" Buzz asked."Oh, maron, I don't know," Jocko said. It was late and he was putting away his music and jelly beans. "Two of the Goo Goo Dolls. They said, 'You're the greatest!'" he gloated. "They said, 'There's no one like you.'"
"Was one of them Johnny Rzeznik?" we asked.
"No. I know him. Him I know," Jocko said.
We love the idea of Jocko knowing Johnny Rzeznik. That is Rzeznik in the News' picture up above. You may view a slideshow of the weekend's events here.
We also love the idea of Johnny's band mates stopping in to see Jocko. That is nice about the Goo Goo Dolls. They stay Buffalonians at heart.
They are the normal!
