Mendez, Rautins make Canadian National Team
Former Niagara University forward Juan Mendez was named to the 12-man Canadian Senior men's basketball team on Sunday. Syracuse University guard Andy Rautins is also on the team which will be coached by his father, Leo, the former Orange All-American.
Mendez and his teammates will play a series of exhibition games this week in Hamilton and Toronto in preparation for their participation in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Athens, Greece which will be held from July 14-20.
