Cuse breaks into Top 25

Syracuse, led by Paul Harris and Jonny Flynn, went from unranked to No. 16 in the AP poll and No. 20 in the ESPN rankings after impressive wins over Florida and Kansas at the CBE Classic in Kansas City last week. They also beat Virginia last week at home.

Syracuse is one of eight Big East teams in the AP poll. Connecticut, which plays at UB on Thursday, is ranked second behind No. 1 North Carolina. Speaking of UConn, ESPN's Andy Katz writes about Huskies center Hasheem Thabeet, who has the NBA scouts drooling.
