UB 7, Ball State 0 - End of first quarter
UB struck first on a 2-yard touchdown pass from Drew Willy to Naaman Roosevelt in the right corner of the end zone. The score was set up when Ball State quarterback Nate Davis fumbled the snap which Bulls linebacker Raphael Akobundu recovered at the Ball State 25.
Three plays later, the Bulls had the game's first points.
