FINAL: BG 58, Canisiuis 54: Third loss in last four for Griffs. Offense in need of a major fix.
3:52 2nd BG 51, Canisius 45: Logins scores first FG with 4:22 left but Falcons get a pair of inside baskets from 6-9 Otis Polk.
6:55 2nd BG 44, Canisius 40: Brown banks in a desperation three for Falcons and Thomas follows with 17F jumper. BG 4-16 in half, Griffs 3-14. Not pretty.
11:36 2nd Canisius 38, BG 36: Griffs tie it on Hymes three and got ahead on two Turner FTs but this pretty uninspiring basketball on both sides. BG has two points in half. Looks like Griffs might score under 60 for third time in last four games.
15:48 2nd: BG 36, Canisius 33: Griffs get first field goal of half on Vazquez-Simmons reverse layup with 4:05 gone. And still they've cut the deficit from seven to three. Sloppy start to half on both sides.
Halftime: BG 34, Canisius 27: Falcons run off last 10 points of half. BG shot 14 of 28, Canisius 10-30. Falcons won boards 21-14.Julius Coles has 11 for Canisius. Hymes (six) is the only other player with more than two.
4:52 1st Canisius 25, BG 24: Coles re-inserted despite precarious foul situation. It pays off. He turns two Frank Turner passes into threes, one on the fastbreak, as Griffs edge back ahead.
7:16 1st: BG 22, Canisius 19: Falcons pounded Griffs 11-4 on the boards and shooting 10 of 16 from the field.
9:23 1st Canisius 19, BG 18: Freshman G Alshwan Hymes hits a pair of threes off bench for Griffs.
14:10 1st: BG 10, Canisius 9: Canisius scoring leader Julius Coles heads to bench after six minutes with two personals and five points. BG firing away from three, hitting 2 of 4.Griffs made change in starting lineup, starting G Robert Goldsberry in place of Elton Frazier. Griffs are also without freshman G Reggie Groves, who is in street clothes and manuevering with a considerable limp.
