First half
14:57: Bona leads Bowling Green, 12-6 thanks to 3-pointers from Jessica Jenkins and Andrea Doneth.
11:58: Bowling Green coach Curt Miller was a bit too over animated in his complaints about the officiating and earned a technical foul. Jenkins hit both free throws to put Bona up, 18-10.
9:31: Bona calls timeout after Bowling Green hits back-to-back 3-pointers to make it a 24-16 game. Lead head had been 24-10.
7:26: Dana Mitchell hits a 3-pointer to stop an 11-0 Bowling Green run. The Bonnies still hold on to a 27-21 lead but the Falcons have found a groove on offense, particularly from 3-point range.
3:51: Bona leads, 31-28. Bowling Green is hitting well from outside and a series of turnovers cost the Bonnies opportunities to gain some breathing room.
Halftime: Bowling Green started shooting the ball better, getting them back into the game, but Bona never trailed in the first half. Doneth hit a 3-pointer, Mitchell two free throws and freshman Chelsea Bowler hit a traditional 3-point play in the final segment as Bona holds a 39-34 halftime lead. The play by Bowler (who has a beautiful jump stop) was followed up by an aggressive defensive stop to close out the half, giving Bona some momentum going into the break.
Second half
15:30: Bona leads, 45-40 as both teams have a slow start to the half.
12:22: Bowling Green calls timeout after Bona goes up, 52-40. Good defense is keeping the Falcons to one shot, and Megan Van Tatenhove had two quick buckets for the double-digit Bona lead.
11:53: Official media time out and the score stays, 52-40. Bona's defense got a jump ball (which went back to Bowling Green) and a defensive rebound with an over-the-back call on BG's Maggie Hennegan.
7:10: Bowler hit a 3-pointer and then made three free throws to help Bona extend its lead to 60-46. But the Bonnies have missed their last two shots and Bowling Green is too dangerous from 3-point range for any lead to be safe.
3:46: Van Tatenhove finds buckets underneath as needed and Mitchell hits a 3-pointer to extend the Bona lead to 67-52.
Final: The Bonnies improve to 10-0 with a 70-54 win over Bowling Green.
