How Canisius Won; Niagara made just 12 of 40 shots after halftime while launching three after three after three. Count 'emThirty-eight in all (nine went in). The Griffs struck a much better balance, scoring 20 two-point field goals and getting strong inside play from Elton Frazier, Tomas Vazquez-Simmons and Greg Logins.
Turning Point: Frank Turner's three with 42 seconds left in overtime put Canisius ahead, 70-64. That dagger, assisted by Robert Goldsberry, came after Goldsberry beat Rob Garrison off the drive for the Griffs' previous bucket.
Player of the Game: Junior forward Elton Frazier is finally living up to the hype attendant to his arrival as a freshman. He scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, grabbed 10 rebounds and had a vicious one-handed dunk off a rebound that would make any highlight film.
Stat of the Game: Niagara's Demetrius Williamson went scoreless. He came in averaging 9.6 points.
