2ND HALF

FINAL: Bona 83, Duquesne 71. Bona advances to Atlantic 10 quarterfinals and plays Temple at noon Friday in Atlantic City. It's the Bonnies' first A-10 Tournament win since 2002. Matthews finishes with 27, Nicholson with 25.

53.3: Bona 80-69. Matthews goes off, scoring eight straight to push lead to 78-63. He has a game-high 27.

3:43: Bona 72-63. Adegboye has four fouls. Bonnies can't afford to lose him. In fact, Eleby's checking in here.

4:12:  Bona 72-63 as Matthews steadies Bonnies with a three. 5:40: Dukes on roll, draw within 67-60.

9:48: The run's up to 14-0 as Bonnies surge into a 59-45 lead. Demetrius Congor adds a three and Hall scores on a drive and the Dukes are turning it over in bunches.

2:22: Duquesne takes a timeout as Bonnies move in front, 53-45. A three by Matthews caps an 8-0 burst. Nicholson had the other five and is up to 20 on the game.

14:47: Bona 43-42 with Duquesne's B.J. Monteiro at line looking to complete a three-point play. Bona has one field goal -- a three by Ogo Adegboye -- and six points at the line.

1ST HALF

HALFTIME: Bona 34, Duquesne 30. Nicholson and Matthews have 11 apiece. Saunders leds Duquesne with 9. Dukes 13 of 32 from field, Bona 11 of 23. Bonnies converted nine of 13 fouls shots, Dukes just 3 of 6.

3:59: Duquesne 26, Bona 24. Dukes 10 of 17 on two-point field-goal attempts and 1 of 10 from three. Bonnies 9 of 20 from field and 3 of 4 from three. Matthews still has 11.

7:13: Bona 20, Duquesne 20. Shooting isn't up to par but both teams pushing it hard in transition. Hall has just two points for Bonnies and is 1 of 5 from the field. Missed two gimmies on the inside so far. Not him at all.

10:21: Bona leads 17-15. Chris Matthews is tormenting the Dukes again and already has 11.

15:33:  Bonnies lead 7-6 at first broadcast timeout but Nicholson just picked up his first foul on Saunders inside. Dukes intent in taking it to Bona's second-team (and foul prone) A-10 center.

17:03: Bona timeout with Dukes leading, 4-0. All-conference forward Damian Saunders took it to Andrew Nicholson for both Duquesne baskets. Jonathan Hall 0 for 3 from field with two uncharacteristic misses inside.
